What specialty in Medicine allows you to work alone?

Answer:
Psychiatry
most jobs you are going to have Patience or nurses or somebody but 2 come to mind. Medical Examiner of course you have the dead bodies and a lab tech.
Few if none medical professionals work alone or allow that. One requirement of the medical profession is social aptitude. You can put the same rigorous studies to work as a medical researcher, but you'll need to specialize in something like organic chemistry, biomechanics, mathematics, information technologies, etc. The list is endless. It is possible to work alone for long durations on projects, but you'll need to interface with other professors and medical professionals eventually.

Another idea is like a physicians assignment at a satelite clinic in a remote region.
