Professional References?
Answer:
If you are young yet (I am assuming you are because you have no previous experience, but it may not necessarily be the case) I would say it would be okay to leave it blank (if you're 16 or something they probably will understand) or you can tell a teacher you know well that you're looking for a job and see if they'll be willing to be put down as your reference in that situation. Maybe there are people you have babysat for that can vouch for you as in you being on time and reliable and stuff like that as well. Use people like that. :) And if you only have 2 instead of 3 I don't think it's that big of a deal.
I just did the same thing. I put references who think well of me that I have worked with in the past whether supervisors or even maybe a teacher or instructor.
I'm a recruiter. By professional references they are looking for people you have worked with in the past who will be knowledgeable about your work habits, effectiveness, communication ability, team player-ness, etc. Coworkers are good. Former managers are even better. Your college roommate. not so good.
