Answer:
Hi,
Whatever u do, u must have job satisfaction. otherwise the work place wud be like hell. u either find a work which is in accordance with ur interests or start loving ur job. try to analyse ur hobbies and ur interests. think about how u can convert them to earn ur livelihood. every person has something positive in them. every person is good at something. u find what u r good at. when u do a work perfectly, u will love th ework coz u get lots of rewards and accolades in it. there was an actress at my place. she loved travelling. after few movies she didnt get nice roles. so she produced a program for tv, where she travels around the world and shows the places to viewers. she is not only earning but also enjoying her work. now say u like cooking. u can start a food business. or if u like collecting things, u can start a store for antiques. even if the starting is tuf, slowly u will excel in them coz its what u love.

the second choice is to love ur work. its bit tough. but u need to see the pros of ur work. may be u will start liking it.

All the best.
you should be happy you are working, if you were in some third world country do you think you would even have the job you have now?
keep reminding him and you won't have to worry about not being satisified with it much longer.
it's just been 2 months and you are complaining already.you should not pester your manager too much as it's a sign of you being impatient.you should use your own initiative to scout around for better and suitable jobs.don't just depend on your manager.
No, don't sit around and wait. Go find yourself a career, something you'll enjoy! Check out the Internet, the newspaper and the businesses you frequent. You can do anything you want, but you have to go out there and get it!
Always in a Company or an institution where you work the first and foremost thing we need to have is Patience.Growth comes along with your hard work.Put some Smart development in the college regarding your work ,have a good communication with top priority people.
A receptionist job is such that no can do for a big amount of time, you should consider moving to another domain that will comensurate with your qualification, you can also ask your company to shift you to a more meaningfull job.

Having said that, i still think that you should work in your current job for atleast 6 months before considering a shift to a new job.
Just wait for six month, I f nothing happened find a better one.
Jim Rohn says its better to work "for profit than wages" meaning it's better to own your own business and work for your self. Check out the great business opportunity (low initial investment) at http://lhoover1.successuniversity.com.
It's only been 2 months, so you're still proving yourself.

Do well. Take on additional tasks. In a year (I know it sounds like a long time but it isn't) you will be able to promote to another position in the college.

Working at a college or university is great because you get free tuition.
2 months is not long enough to move up
Hi there,

My advise, just wait a little longer until you have your boss' answer.
What I mean to say, is to make sure you have complete detail to make a consideration whether you want to quit or to move on.
If you do not have any answers from your boss, your decision will be made on a weak basis, you will probably never know what plan your boss have in mind for you.
Just wait until the answer is clear enough, then you can decide.

Thx,
Firdaus
