Jeans or no jeans??

Do you think its alright to wear jeans just to apply. I'm going to the Toyota dealership to apply and I dont have any clean Khakis. They are also closed tomorrow. Should I just wear nice jeans.I already taked to manager over email.

Answer:
For an interview at a car dealership, that would be highly inappropriate. Look at what those in the sales department are wearing. you won't find anyone in blue jeans. You'll make a bad first impression wearing jeans, and you only have one opportunity to make a first impression: Don't blow it. Wash some dress slacks or buy them. and wear a white shirt and tie with nicely polished shoes.
wash your khakis.
Jeans are not interview wear unless you're applying for the job washing cars.
I was always told that a person should wear the attire that is customary for the job description. If the position is in the auto parts department it might be that after the interview you can wear your jeans, but it is usually customary for a person that is applying for a position to wear nice clothes. Jeans are not usually appropriate for a job application or interview. SORRY!!
Avoid jeans. Something clean and casual will suffice.
no jeans
I would be very hesitant to apply anywhere with jeans on. Remember, any missed steps in the hiring process for you at this time could put a halt on a prospective job offer. I wouldn't do it. I have been an HR Manager for about 15 years and now own my own business. You just never know how that prospective employer will react.
Gonna have to say, Khaki's.
You never know who you're going to run into while there.
dont wear jeans its not a proffesional look for a interview..
I'd go with no jeans. Dealerships deal with professionalism so dress professionally. First impressions are important. People generally know within the first three minutes of meeting a person whether or not they like you so you want to put your best foot forward.
As an employer I recommend that you never wear jeans while applying for a job, not even if you are just running in to pick up an application. You only get one chance to make a first impression. Unsolicited Tip: When you go to fill out a job application on site, ALWAYS bring your own pen or pencil.
I think you shouldn't wear jeans, just so you can make a good impression. If the manager saw you in khakis or even a skirt, they would probably be impressed and say to themselves "Wow! She's not like all the others who came in in jeans!" Make a good first impression and if you have to wait another day to get an application so you can wear clean khakis, then definately wait another day. It could be well worth the wait.

I am a recruiter and I have always used this rule of thumb: Always try to dress one level above the person interviewing you.

Wash your Khakis and Impress!!

Good Luck!
