Does anyone know how much a paralegal that is just starting out makes per year?

Depends. Some parts of the country have higher costs of living, and thus higher salaries. There are small, medium, and large firms; paralegals who work for large firms tend to make more. Paralegals also work for various companies and other governmental entities, and so part of it also depends on what kind of work you're doing. I'd say in the part of the country I live in, you might start in the high teens, and maybe make as much as mid-twenties to start, depending on some of the factors I mentioned. Oh. . . another consideration is that some paralegals have certificates, some have Associate Degrees, and some Bachelors Degrees; in general, the higher your educational level the more you'll make. I know this isn't very specific, but it's difficult to answer your question without more information.

there are salary surveys available for paralegals in yahoo jobs, and monster jobs. believe there are also surveys in the ABA website.
It depends on the State in which you reside and the law firm you become employed by. Also, your ability both by education and experience.
