Do you think that people who work in abattoirs and normal sane people?
Or maybe they do it because they don't want nutters or amateurs doing it who would make the animals suffer more than they already do?

After watching a horrific documentary on slaughterhouses i concluded they are all sick. they were laughing when the animals became distressed, kicking the animals, and taking far too much pleasure in sharpening their knives before slitting a cows throat! sick sick sick! everyone should boycott meat, there is nothing humane about the way British meat is killed.
No - I dont think they're normal or sane.

That was my 1st ever job when i was at uni,

I lasted 1 hour then walked.
I'm not ready to kill, skin and cut up a cow, calf, pig or sheep so quite frankly I'd rather have someone else make a nice job of it.
I think they're normal and sane, yes, but I don't think very many of them "decide" to do it, more likely they're uneducated and it's the only job available to them.
No way could i do that job! but someones gotta do it eh? I do love my meet!
Somebody has to do the job
Its a job like any other, maybe that is the only way they have of making a living. Everyone nedds cash to survive. Anyway you don't take jobs home with you.
They must literally be hell on earth,

Its just a job. Ok its not a prticularly nice job but it is just a job at that. There are loads of wierd jobs out there that you can't see why people do them! My cousins a grave digger!
