?? on job performance!!?
What do you think? Kind answers only!! No Point theaves!!
Answer:
Some managers push hard no matter what in order to get you to give 100%. Some do it to the point of burnout, which is not good. They may just feel like you have more potential. My boss once told me that I don't need to worry unless he STOPS caring what I do.
Some people are just hard to please..You're best bet with dealing with these types of people is be proactive..Don't wait for them to come to you with complaints..Be the first to approach them and ask for their input..That way if something doesn't go just so it kind of reflects on them..make sense??
yea, i know what you're talking about. it doesn't really happen to me.i just feel i'm a better employee than some of my coworkes, even those higher than me, but i'm not going up
I went through this for 2 years in a past job until I finally just couldn't take anymore. I really believe some people will just never be satisfied. I think you have to decide if that is something you always want to deal with, or if you think you can really improve.
Explain to your direct-reporting manager that you want to meet the organization's expectations and you will be better able to do so if you get clearly-stated goals in writing, including the specific performance measurements you must meet. If you don't get them, write them yourself and give them to you manager for approval. Follow these goals carefully. If you are criticized again, write a memo explaining how your performance met the expectations of your job criteria and saying that the negative criticism distracts you from your job. Keep copies of these memos in a safe place away from your work location.
Good luck!
you're trying too hard, relax.. take notes when they are talking to you and make sure you are thorough, if you're unsure of what's being asked of you, then repeat what you were instructed to do. that way you're clear on things.
mgrs can smell fear..
The best advice I can give to you is to ask your manager exactly what his/her expectations are for your performance, and also ask them to provide clear direction on how you should be doing things. If they harp on you about your performance, ask what you should be doing differently in order to provide the best performance possible.
Your manager should be setting goals and expectations for you, as well as supporting you and providing direction and guidance to help you succeed.
I wish you the best of luck!
Take stock of your time with the company.
1)Have you been given the opportunity to move up within the company?
2)Have you been offered ongoing training to improve your skills and productivity?
3)Is it just your boss, or do you work in a negative environment - coworkers, management team, business profile?
You can't change other people, no matter how hard you try. If you feel strongly that this job isn't going to be a long-term relationship, I suggest you begin a "quiet" job search to see what else is out there.
Good luck.
