Time for a new job?
I love my job because is challenging and makes me feel good about helping them grow (when we started - w is me and the system administrator) the company was mostly on windows 98 and every thing was breaking left and right. now every thing works just fine and we upgrade all the computers to XP we work Holidays, weekends and even over night to get all this done.
Problem is I don’t feel we are appreciated and most of the time they (company executives and even the CIO) seem to think of us as disposable employees
Time for a new job.. Or should I just hung around and wait for them to see what we do for them?

I hear this question all the time. Most people already know the right answer. They just need someone to give them a kick in the pants. Here is your kick in the pants! Life is too short to be working at a place that does not apreciate you. You currently have a job which makes looking for a new one easier. You don't have to settle for the 1st job someone offers you. You can look for the right job w/out worry about your bills. My friend in the IT department had a horrible boss. She was super nice to the higher-ups but treated people who worked for her like crap. Long story short; he found a new job w/ a better title and more money. Plus, he likes working at the new job. Don't waste your life; you only have one. What's the point of waking up and going to job you don't like?? You spend more waking hrs at work than you probably do w/ friends and family. Besides, people rarely change. Your boss will probably ask you to stay once you give your notice. He'll say a bunch of crap about how things will be better. By then, it'll be too little too late. Good luck. Hope you realize the mistake in trying to wait for things to get better.
