How long after an interview do they usualy let you know if you got the job or if you are still a canidate?
At the end of the interview I was told they had a couple more canidates that they are going to interview this week. No salary or start time was talked about.
This is for an average to large size company
Answers:
A week after the interview unless they specify longer. Then they usually call if you're 'still a candidate' or accepted for the position. Write you a letter if you're not accepted.
Usually it takes a few days, depends on the position.
Generally when they say they have a couple more candidates they have to interview, you didn't get the job. Also depends on the person weather or not they call you to let you know they went with someone else.
For a large company, it can take up to 2 weeks for them to get back to you. But you can call the HR department anytime after the interview to get a status. They usually have access to the files with the interviewers comments, the same guys who may not have told you anything negative in order to be "diplomatic".
