Probably not. People these days tend to move around a little more and even move into new positions in different areas. Someone said somewhere that everyone will have three different careers in their lifetime. Not sure this is exactly true but, it makes sense.
Unless you absolutely love what you are doing, are paid very well, have growth opportunities and the company will be around forever.
You have to complete a career development plan and assessment.
Are you happy with your job? Company? Position? Benefits? Location? Retirement Plan? Etc...?

Employers are AT WILL employers who can let you go without notice. You work for someone else and they own the business. You don't have a lifetime employment contract - right?
