How many days am I entitle to??
Answers:
When you were hired you should have been told the company policy regarding vacations, sick days and holidays as far as what you get and what you get paid for.
Were you given a company policy handbook when you were hired? Most companies have them now to explain all the details of the company and what they offer the employee.
Most companies make you take the vacation time off in the year it accrues. They think you need time off from the job. They don't allow you to carry it over or receive money for it and not take the time off. These items should have been discussed when they offered you the job. They can give you whatever they want for days off from 0 to 60. There are no laws governing vacation time.
Think of it this way. What IF you could accrue all your vacation and carry it over from year to year. Say you get two weeks a year and each year you earn more vacation time. If you saved it all up you could have quite a stack of months with pay. Companies don't want anyone away from their jobs for those long periods of time. I know someone that retired a year early with full pay because he had all these hours and whatever stacked up and saved.
Ask the company, each company is different in what they offer for vacation.
