Trying to get a job before summer. I applied to my local fred meyer. That was a month ago, I figured they wernt hiring. I just stopped there and they had a huge sign that said they were now hiring. I asked if the sign was old and they said it wasnt and then I talked to the hiring manager and she said they were hiring. Whats going on?

Re-submit your application. Your old application is probably sitting in a file somewhere unnoticed. Re-submit it in person, follow up with a call in a few days and apply a lot more places in person right away. Time is running out for summer jobs so you better hurry.

Sounds like they are just now hiring. I dont know what fred myer store is but go ask the manager how long your application will stay on file and should you put a new one in. Tell him/her you would like to get an interview if thats possible.
