Breaks at work in hot heat?

in england is there a law about working in boiling hot conditions for 4 hours non stop within a retail shop

my place of work is a metal building (like a warehouse) and it heats up to a point people faint while shopping. i go 4 hours without a break and feel extremely sick after working same as the rest of the work staff. is this legally allowed to make people work in high heat

That sound terrible.

If you are in a big organisation, there should be a union presence, who usually have a health and safety rep. If so, you should become a member, and they will represent your case.

Otherwise, have a word with a health and safety authority (maybe the local council can point you in the right direction), and they might send some inspectors for a spot check (keep quiet about it at your workplace).
try and stay cool about this atleast you have a job . they have cool pads you could get some and wear em around your wrist and neck that will help you through the day .
