How do you ask for a pay raise once you become part of a managment?
Answer:
I don't think it's too late.. I think you can make an appointment or set aside some time to say to your superior, now that I am management and have taken on these (list them) additional responsibilities how and when will I be compensated? Be prepared to give specific examples and toot your own horn. Also mention that you haven't had a raise since..
too late.
You have to negotiate for the right pay prior to being hire.
How do you ask for a pay rise?
They're not paying you enough?
Your mother always said they wern't paying you enough but you wouldn't listen.
What you do is go home, have a nice bowl of soup - and while you're eating - your mother will go round and see them for you
Well write an letter to you supervisor. Telling him that you would like to talk about an raise and that you feel like you are due one. Also If you have an yearly review (like most companies) you can ask at that time. Be sure that you state your reasons why you should have an raise and also if your company has an HR dept make sure you forward a copy of the letter to them as well.
Remeber you are asking for a raise no demanding one. Try not to sound condisending towards them at all.
ALl they can due is say no...(if you word it right)
I would prepare a list of the major responsibilities I had as an hourly, then a list of the responsibilities I now have as a management employee. If you have more responsibilities now, you can use that to negotiate a raise.
