What should i do for a living?
i have already graduated from high school and been accepted to the local junior college that i mentioned above.
next semester i will be taking calculus; and i know that i want to major in something with numbers... but im not sure what...
everyone is saying i should be an engineer but that doesnt sound very appealing to me. are there any careers that JUST require one to deal with numbers?... and not machinery or robots or anything?...

traditionally math majors end up as teachers. I get the feelign that is not what you want.
Based on your tone I imagine you might get a kick out of numerical modeling. This is where you study an event or topic and model it in terms of a system of equations. Then the system give predictions of outcomes. it has been used in everything from predicting hurricanes to finding oil to studying insect flight.
Think about a major in physics with a focus or minor in 'numerical methods' or 'numericals modeling' or 'computational modeling'.
do what you're great at and stop pleasing others[please only God who you will be accauntable for when you die in this world],they won't live your life but you yourself will.
