I've trying to find out info about the civil service exam in NYC. im trying to get my foot into the psych field, and i've been finding alot of listing for state run facilities, which requires that your name is available from the civil service eligability list. i've searched the website and tried making some phone calls, but noone gives me a clear answer

It is possible that NYC and/or NYS does not use a civil service exam to fill psych related positions.

Try them in person, and see if you get any better results.
