depends on the job you're going for, but yeah employers are looking more for good attitude, good attendance, and the ability to be trained. if you can sound articulate and look the person in the eye during the interview you should stand a chance against anyone else.
Make your resume stand out with those life experiences. Use strong verbs such as.cared for 5 children under age of 5 at once, with waiting list for my services. You get the idea.
