Search for writer's work!?
Answer:
Well, indeed there are quite many options for you. Being a good writer opens a lot of opportunities. First, look at previous pieces of advice. Really fine ideas! Besides, probably, you can have several activities at the same time. You may be a freelancer and write what you like about. At the same time you may be an online writer. There is a very nice service http://www.essaywriters.net which offers people like you an option to take orders, write and get a good payment. Thus you will get independence you strive for, do what you like (writing) and have a lot of time searching more options for yourself. Luck!

Just a thought, probably a bad one. Could you not slowly start a local magazine whilst working for an editor? My husband is a designer here in France and does not speak French! He started a small events magazine for English speakers in the 64 area (Pyrénées Atlantique - very large area). He hit upon something that there was no provision for and in the second issue (it's every three months) he made a small profit through advertising and it has grown since then. Could you not start something similar? It's just amazing what you can come up with if you look at where you live with new eyes. It also gets you a few freebies to gigs and you get to cross paths with new people. if it's successful you could make the cross to working solely on that.
It sounds like you want to get into freelance writing.
