What are the pros and cons of becoming a nurse?

im trying to decide what to have as a career

I know a few and here is what they say.

pros:

1. High demand
2. Decent pay
3. Multiple shifts

cons:

1. hard work
2. stressful at times
3. Patient's relatives can sometimes yell at you and cuss you out if they feel you didn't treat their loved ones right or forgot something.
4. Very high burnout rate.
pros- you get to help people
cons- you have to wipe old bottoms
cons: long hours; low pay; dirty work
pros: helping people heal; satisfaction; making the world a better place
Look in next Sundays classified ads you will probably see several pages looking for nurses. There is a great demand for them.
It would help if you like helping people.
Good pay for cleaning up incontinence.
I started out as a nurse. I hated it!!

Pros - short hours, nice patients, more interesting than office work

Cons - fewer opportunities, low pay, bitchy nursing culture, ungrateful patients, lack of respect, not much power
Nursing is steady work and a growth field (according to employment projections). Cons you will have to think of yourself.
