Is it difficult or easy for middle age women in your country to be hired as a permanent (office) worker?
Answer:
no its not difficult as long as u got the experience or qualifications then it should be quiet easy
It shouldn't be now as the Agism bill has come into effect.
Nope, the company I work for will hire anyone within the employment age providing they have the skill and experience to do the job .. age / sex not an issue in any way.
y not ?
if u have the papers and experience, shouldn't be a prob man ~~
ya, no problem in india if you have qualifications and experence you can join and work.
It shouldn't be a problem as long as you have the skills and experience, and are the best person for the job.
Should be a lot easier now ageism laws are in place. As long as you have what they are looking for ref skills I cannot see a problem.
In the UK, and for many years, there has been a definite prejudice against applicant in their mid forties onwards being hired for a variety of jobs, including office work. That is why the UK government has recently brought in an anti-ageism law to try to stop this happening.
However, it will still occur, though not as overtly as in the past since there are now heavy penalties for companies which break this law. To have experienced people turned down because they've reached a certain age is ludicrous. The thinking seems to be that on, say, one's 50th birthday a physiological/mental switch is operated and all one's skill, knowledge, ability to learn, etc., disappear!
Fortunately, the information coming from companies that actually seek out the older worker shows that such a view is totally wrong. hence it is hoped that more employers will see the advantages of hiring older people who tend to be more loyal to the company, take fewer days off work, usually have an extensive background knowledge, generally know how to deal with customers, etc..
In other words, they are are an advantage not a hinderance!
sorry avian, ur wrong, the reason they dont like to hire women in a certain age bracket is in case they have kids and it interferes in their work, this is a problem here in aus too, im an employment officer adn although its illegal i have had emplyers blatantly tell me that they dont wont women with young kids,
and of course now women are having them later and later this means lots of women in the late 30's early 40's age bracket have young kids
if you have the qualifications and no kids then u can get the job no worries, and their not allowed to ask about kids at interviews so they ask all other sorts of questions to find out
in a way i can see their point, i often get stuck with holiday and late hours cos the women with kids get first look in COS THEY HAVE KIDS
so its assumed they need the holidays off more than i do??
It's good to know Japan is not much different than here is the USA. They try to get as much out of you as they can. Good luck!
I would be out of there pronto with those hours and no comp!!NOW if you have those qualifications and your written English is excellent then my guess you would get your arm pulled out You would have no problem in any English speaking country
