What is a group interview like any good suggestions on making a good impression?
Answer:
I've experienced several group interviews from both the interviewee and interview positions. I always hated them when I was the person being interviewed, since I felt all alone sitting there among the larger group, all of whom know each other since they work together. The good thing is that the interviewers know that you'll be a little nervous, so don't worry about that.
One piece of advice would be for you to look at the person who asked the question when you begin to answer that question. That shows that you are acknowledging the question and the person who asked it. Once you start the answer, make sure that you then address the entire group of people there so that no one feels left out (that is important since many times the decision to hire you will be based on the input of the group). Then try to end your answer to that question by again looking at the person who asked it, thereby closing the loop on the answer. You might even want to ask that person, "Have I sufficiently answered your question?"
The best advice is to just be yourself. I've interviewed hundreds of people over the past several years for a variety of jobs at my law firm, and the biggest mistake that I've seen is people not being themselves and trying to be someone different at the interview. Just relax, take a breath, and be yourself, and you'll do great.
Also, make sure to dress professionally, no matter what type of job you're seeking. And don't try to b.s. the interviewers, since they may call you on the information that you're embellishing.
Good luck!!
um like a gropu of people being interviewed.
good impression - don't answer questions that you don't know answers to.
A panel group interview is where more than one interviewer interviews one person. A group interview is where more than one interviewee is being interviewed by one or more people. So if you are talking about a group interview there are a few things you can do. Number one you and the people in the group are after the say job. Why should you be hired over the next person. We as employers want to hire the best person for the job. We need someone that will fit with our corporate culture. Do your homework and know what questions to ask. Know about the company you are going to work for. You have to be noticed and out of the group I will be looking for someone articulate but not flashy. Also know the competition, who is your future employers competition. It is like studying for a test if you know the answers the test is easier. Don't be a know it all, but also don't sit and ask questions. about something you should know the answer on. Remember you and the other people are trying for the same job, why should i hire you instead of them. You must tell me without putting them down. I hope this helps. Good luck with your interview
