Does any one know about prevailing wages?

And if so, Do you get prevailing wages doing any kind of work at public works job sights?

Answers:
Wages vary depending on the trade performed, and whether the job is federal or state (and which state). Generally, if public funds are used on the project, it is subject to prevailing wage, and the employer must prepare certified payroll reports for all employees. This often includes labor for fabricated items that were manufactured offsite and then delivered to the public property where the project is located. I don't know what state you are in - I am including the link below for reference to California's prevailing wage information. Check with your state's Labor Department.
