How much(average) does 5yrs exp. IT worker earn in US.?
Answer:
Well, it depends on where they live, where they work and what the 5 years of experince has taught them. If you have worked nothing but helpdesk calls fixing printers, then you will earn less than say someone that knows how to fix routers, switches, and other network problems. So it all depends on you and what you know, and again, where you live.
What you did during your 5 years and what degree you have are the most important parts but in the end where you live can make a huge difference. In texas from a medium sized city with a bachelors in CS and about 2 years experiance my uncle made around 45,000 a year. He told me a while back places like dallas and New york pay twice as much but the cost of living "decently" in those places is outrageous. If you are a foreigner its best to check the living price of where you are going and make sure you are going to make enough.
