How'd your degree in journalism work out for you?

Was it easy to get a job, how well are you paid, do you like it..ect.

Answer:
A journalism prof I had says a journalism degree and $1.99 can get you a cup of starbucks.

If one is to make it in the journalism field they need to have clips. Work at the school's student newspaper and intern at the local paper. Always work really hard at the paper, focus less on academics (sounds crazy, I know).
would you like fries with that?
My husband was a journalism major and he wrote software programs, then painted interiors and has been with the phone company for almost 20 years now.
I don't know of any degree that works for you. Where can I get one? I'm fed up of working.

More than a degree, you need a curriculum. Best journalists I know haven't gone further than college; it's field practice what makes a journalist, or an accountant, a lawyer. Of course some schooling helps, but that's nothing without real-world practice on the subject.
