For architects or anyone who knows?

what are the requirements to becoming an architect?
about how much dod they pay? is that enough? what would the job look like and what would be the environment of work?

In Kentucky, I believe that you are required to have a degree and be registered with the state, similar to practicing as a lawyer or doctor.
