Hey i was invited to a management recruitment event for starbucks (* manager, manager, district manager)?

northern california...since i am relatively new to the hiring process..this means that i am being screened, correctly? or is it an event that anyone can attend ?

You are definitely being screened from a sea of resumes or applications out there. Make sure you have a clean resume, clean appearance and hold your head up high! I would try to get a number of the recruiter making the presentation and follow up with that person the next day (if you are interested). Ask them about the interview process and how it works and when can you set up yours. Confident, polite, profession and assumptive will make you stand out in a crowd!

Good Luck!
It is a hiring fair probably, that means it is advertised in stores or on line. I worked for them for years as a manager. Be excited, passionate, show you have a personality that is professional but fun. They like people that can follow standards, but also run their own business. If this isn't you, don't even bother going. Go online and look on their website for careers.
