What makes us so afraid of success and how do we overcome it?

I'm not scared of success, I would handle it well.
Who really IS afraid of success ? I've never met someone afraid of success. But I've met plenty of people (most if not all) who were afraid of trying (in case they failed).
Most people who are afraid of success are so because they are afraid of failure. If you don't try and fail, then you will never learn how to succeed and never amount to anything either.
A child learns to walk by first falling down and learns to run after he learns to walk. If you fall, you must get up.
The higher you get, the more the fall is going to hurt. Some people is so afraid to failure that they don't even make the attemp to succeed.
There is a book you absolutely MUST read to understand why we are so programmed to fear success and how we will actually sabotage our success due to these thoughts...also how we overcome it. This book has changed my life and is probably the best investment I have ever made!
The book is called Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T Harv Eker.
