I had a interview on Tuesday my questions are?

my questions are I understand that they do a police check an a referenc check on me if i am not accepted for the job will i be told with in the next few days ?

Answer:
Hi there!
I do interviews for my job. In my company there is a background check that is done. When you come in and apply you are notified about the background check and you are given the option for consent for the check to be done. If interviewed for the job and a background check has been done you WILL be notified if you have passed or failed the background check. As an employer we are not told why an applicant has failed a background check since that information is private. Also the company that does the background check for my company will notify all applicants of why a background check may have failed via mail. We usually recieve notification of a background check within three days. The applicant will recieve a copy of that background check within 1 week. Hope this helps.
here in NJ you have to sign a permission slip of sorts in order to have the background check run on you, including drivers license, work history and criminal background checks.
If you have something in your past, be up front, they will find out..it's not worth lying over.
I've been interviewing forever, no it depends on the company. My profession is a property manager and we do background checks on all prospects who want to live in one of the apartments. The company we use took exactly 5 minutes, but there are others that can take up to a week. Be patient, if it is meant to be, you'll get the job, good luck
