yep, keep submitting that resume. you may also want to re write your resume to bring you better results. monster does offer good tips but also check out susanireland.com, you'll find several sample resumes and they do update their samples periodically.
these days where there are so many of us unemployed, it pays to make follow up calls every time you submit a resume.

If you have only applied to ten places, you haven't even begun to scratch the surface. I applied for over 200 different jobs before I finally got hired.

Honey all I can tell you is to keep trying. I am looking too. I haven't found a job yet but I am not giving up. I am a writer but I need a steady paycheck. I have been putting in apps for things I don't even want. I like you am hoping some one hires me soon. I am almost out of money and some one has stolen my debit card number and overdrawn a bank account that was supposed to be closed.

Ten places is not that many when you consider how many people are competing with you for jobs. Apply at as many places as you can each week. If you aren't getting interviews, take a second look at your resume to make sure that there isn't something about it that is putting people off. Look online for tips on writing an effective resume. Make sure that resumes are accompanied by properly-written cover letters that are addressed to whoever does the hiring for each place. Follow up a week after sending a resume with a phone call, and keep checking back. Also, if you are not hired for a job, ask the person who did not hire you if there is anything that could have improved your chances.
So many issues to cover. assuming you have not been fired, have a good resume, DO not have an objective on your resume and have a pretty clear career path.
go to snagajob.com - see what in your area. Make sure you're posted on Monster, Hotjobs, Careerbuilder, etc.
Google firms in your area ad search for companies that Have a customer service department. Apply there.
Register with the top 2 temp and top 2 perm employment agencies in your area.
Use the job boards and look at listings on a daily basis.
Make sure you have a strong personal appearance and do research on companies before you interview. ASK QUESTIONS! Interested people are the ones that get hired.
Persevere. it usually takes 15-20 applications to get one interview.
Check out a temp agency. Robert Half (Account Temps), Kelly, Staffmark, etc. I found some great jobs, acquired new skills and was offered full-time positions at places I already knew people and "the ropes" at. They can usually get you placed within a week.

What you fail to tell us about is your work history. Have you been terminated from a job? Have you left a job without giving notice?
Just keep giving it all you got. That is all you can do. I searched for 2 years before someone even sat down with me. My work history is clean and pretty, no criminal record, great background, but I had moved to a small town in a small county.
The only reason I was never looked at, was because I didn't know anyone. Once someone saw my potential and gave me an interview.I was in! And I have had the pick of jobs for the last 6 years. Just keep at it, something will come up soon!
