Have u ever had a career/business coach? Did s/he help u some way well?
Answers:
Are you speaking of the Life Coach's? A great majority of them are full of it and I just recently exposed a fraud who is located in Ohio. In fact, the watch dog of these so called coaches is ICF (they are the self professed largest organization.) I actually wrote to them 5 days ago regarding this persons unethical practices (her name is Molly Luffy and she professes herself to be a career/business coach, but in fact she is very pro-employer and couldn't care less about an employee's needs which she makes clear on her website.) As of this writing no one from ICF has responded to my query regarding complaints under ethical behavior. Stay away from these people and if you sincerely need one, make sure to do a very thorough background check and do not depend on those sites such as ICF, IAC, or ECI. One of the biggest problems with this field is it is not scrutinized or governed by any State or Federal agency (except in Colorado.) As such, you can very well retain a Coach who obtained there certification while in prison! (true story.) You need career advice? Research online or continue posting here (I've come across a few postings where the person obviously is sincerely speaking from professional experience), or go to Barnes and Noble and buy a few books regarding career direction.
