Answers:
Be positive.
Solicit feeback
Ask about your performance.
Give feedback to your Supervisor.
This is a good opportunity to evaluate your pesonal growth and development and a good sign that the employer is engaging their team members.
Some companies don't do this procedure.
Dialogue is good.
"FEEDBACK IS THE BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS!"
GOOD LUCK! :-)
Let him talk. Listen to what he has to say and he will most likely ask if you have any questions. Be honest with it. Rememeber that I am sure that you're doing your best but listen to what they have to say. I'm not saying that it is going to happen but if there are any concerns they might have, take that as constructive and ask him what he thinks should happen for that to change.
I'm sure it will be fine
If he doesn't bring up any problems, go ahead and ask if there is any part of your job you could use improvement on. Some bosses don't like to bring up negative things until it's too late to fix them, and others seem to live for riding you down. If everything is great, and you feel like you could be doing more, let him know that you are willing to take more responsibilities as he sees fit.
He may answer your questions without you having to ask since this is your pro-probationary evaluation. However, if he does not, then I would simply ask him if he is satisfied with your work thus far, but I would be confident with that question, i.e. "I feel that I fit in well with this place and the work I'm doing for you is good...are you happy with my performance thus far?". Something along those lines. I don't think it's necessary for you to ask him much more outside of that unless you are unclear on your wages, benefits, hours, etc. and have specific questions around those things.
How about questions like:
-what areas of my performance are you pleased with?
-are there any areas for improvement that I should be aware of?
-is there anything I'm not doing that you think I should start doing?
-what change will you expect to see in my performance after I've been here for 6 months?
Basically you want to ask for constructive feedback. Good luck!
I'd think that's a pretty routine thing. So long as you've worked well and fitted in well with your co-workers, I wouldn't think there's anything to worry about. If he asks you any questions, just answer them calmly and truthfully. If you think it's appropriate, you might want to ask him about his opinion on your work so far and try and get some feedback on what he thinks about you.
I would not go in with any questions. This will be the time for your boss to talk. If you feel like you are doing a good job then it should be a breeze. When bosses do evaluations, they don't want to sit there and stroke the ego of the person they are evaluating. They pretty much have it lined out what they are going to say. They will let you know if there is something they think you need improvement on without you asking. They want to know that the person they are talking to is really listening. A person that wants to talk more than them is a person that is not listening. They are more interested in a pat on the back.
Good luck!
Your boss is good. I don't know what he will tell you but you know a good boss when they keep evaluating you. Expect to hear of what you are not doing well and of course where you are doing well. If he gives you the first option to ask a question, tell him of your experience in the short time you have been there and be honest with him if you feel at home and ask for his feedback and tell him that you are ready to work on what areas he feels you are under performing in. Mention about the culture that you have found there and tell him only the goodness and don't criticise at the moment of any area which you have found to be bad. Good luck
