Can a person rejoin the UAW union after being out of the union for 3-4 years?

I left a union job years ago but wasent told I could just transfer to another UAW job. Im asking if I am able to rejoin and get another union job.

Answer:
My dad was a leader of a AA union in the past.
He said this before he got ALZ.

That once u join certain unions u can remain a member for life, even if you lose the job itself. though I dont see the value.
