What is my appropriate career?

I have been thinking of my future career. I am currently majoring in Finance and Investment for my Bachelor"s degree. I like Finance, but I also like helping people. so I thoght that a financial consultant would be my appropriate career. but I like Math also, so being a quantitatve analyst would be my other option as well. In the future, I would like to help people with my knowledge in Finance. I don't just calculate and work with numbers in the office. If anyone has answer for my concern, please let me know. What is my appropriate career? Do you have any other suggestions in Career, but it has to be related to Finance.

Answer:
I worked for a small company, where the owner also managed several trust funds. I worked with lots of people, helping in charitable trusts, plus I handled the accounting for the company itself (real estate development). Smaller companies give you a broader spectrum of finance and accounting functions, compared to large corporations where you have to specialize in one field.
Please, get a major that requires more than a pulse.
Take a couple of years and go to work for a larger bank. That alone will be an education and at the same time you will get exposure to virtually all facets of finance. Additionally, you will make contacts that may prove invaluable in the future.
I did that and I don't regret a minute of it.
Why dont you be a consultant full time and then start your own charitable organization in that the funds you get from the consultancy can be used to help people. It is a matter of combining various aspect of your like and career to achieving what you want in life.

I am an old man , so i must suggest u to weigh Ur capacity in the field of interest. U are talking like a person in first position. If that is so, U need not bother, do any thing U wish, and U can change Ur job any time u feel like that. But if u are NOT at first position u have to consider the scope in any particular field. Cut throat competition is on in jobs today, do;nt forget that !
