Can a prospective employer get my previous employment details from my social security number(U.S)?

If I provide my SSN can my employer know my previous employment details?

Answer:
YES DEFFINTELY IF YOU GAVE YOUR SOCIAL NUMBER AT YOUR LAST JOB AND YOU HAD TOO FOR(witholding purposeess) and all they do is punch or key in your social, nymber into a data base-- meaning cross refrencing you with your- social- number-- most police depts do this too!! and ita called cross refrencing you with your social number it brings up everything on your old job descriptions!!
Not legally.but they CAN find out your credit history, law enforcement details and school records.
They could find out everything about you.

Fortunately, they just verify what information you give them. There's a lot of information I leave off of my resume and job applications. If I didn't, they would be in volumes. Employers do understand that.

I don't list companies that I have been fired from, that I was at less than 2 years, that are irrelevent to my profession or that I left in bad standing. No employer has ever inquired about these.
