Truth in the workplace question?
Answer:
the truth as i understand it includes omission. just telling you what i havent heard.
do you work closely with the boss? was your opinion asked? if so be hoenst, but dont say i think you are a jerk. State that you believe that this and that..good luck
If they dont desrve the truth then lying is ok
it is perfectly appropriate to lie at work place. It is not wrong to tell your boss what u think.just keep in mind that ur boss also is human and therefore u need to show some tactfulness in the way u tell him .
I question how secure I was in my job before I said too much. If it's positive feedback and not a bit--ching session, I've been known to make my views known. Follow your instincts, you know him better than anyone here does. Besides, what you decide to do isn't going to effect anyone but you. Good Luck.
The politically correct answer is 'NO' it is never appropriate to lie or tell your boss what you think in the workplace (unless you are 100% sure that what you are thinking is what your boss is thinking).
If you work for an extremely political company always tell your boss what he just told you because it shows you are a team player.
If you work for a less political company and feel compelled to tell your boss the truth, do so in private. From his response you will know whether to continue telling him the truth or (as above) tell him what he just told you.
NEVER LIE!
Hope this helps!
