I'm about visiting the U.S.A for vacation holidays, I will like to know if I can get any holiday job.?

I will be visiting in January, 2007. I do not want to site down idle, so i want to know whether I will be able to get some form of job for the period I will be around.

Answer:
You will be able to work here if you have a work visa or student visa that enables you to work in the U.S. for any employer. Also by the time that you get here in January 2007, most employers will not be hiring anymore for a holiday job. They do the majority of their hiring now thru the beginning the December.
The only way you would be able to work in the States on a vacation is with a student visa. A normal visitor's visa specifically forbids ANY form of work - even voluntary!

There are many different visas. Spend some time looking through here http://www.unitedstatesvisas.gov/busines.

You might find a way but I rather doubt it. As you are probably aware, the issue of illegal immigrants and illegal working is rather prominent at the moment.
You can collect and return luggage carriers at the airport.
