to be honest i really woudnt go down that road it really is not worth it ,my mum works in a care home it was owned by the council and they sold it now shes doing 12 hour days and there trying to get everyone to sign a contract which will entitle them to less wages no sick pay and less holiday its full of people trying to make money out of human beings they imploy immigrants as there cheaper but dont speak a word of english in one instance one of the reidents was fed custard and mince.

I thought i was interested in working as a care assistant untill i was told what i'd have to do and when i went for an interview. look in your local paper though if you are serious you have to be dedicated and not sqeemish! Also phone up agencies which should be in the yellow pages ect.
I don't know but watch out for those homes that practise euthanasia.
