Answer:
Definitely . and being a jerk does not mean that the person will not be successful most Sales people that are the most successful are jerks
it is never ever too late to change!

Oh yeah! It may take a little while to reflect on his paycheck, but it starts with the realization!
Absolutely. It's called growing up.
The Chinese have a saying.
"A dog is going to eat sh*t".
You can't change nature.

.
Of Course , it's Never too late (unless your dead) to make a change for the Positive !!
OF course!! as long you have perspective and goals to track down in your life, you have ALWAYS TIME to be sucesful!
Unless you have some dramatic changes in your attitude (or win lotto!!), it is unlikely that you can. You are so used to being a jerk that it's difficult to change, unfortuantely.
The problem here is in the self-loathing nature of the question. No one asks this kind of question for someone else unless they are making a point of a persons imperfections, or they are taking on themselves the mantle of "jerk." In either case, the answer is no. You can't be a success, you ARE a success, having accomplished something so well for so long, despite it's apparently negative social implications. Survival in those conditions is commendable. My encouragement would be to get into motivational speaking or counseling, and as that person counseled and coached others, would discover healing in themselves through the experience.

My final concern is for you, the gentle reader who has the emotional capacity and lack of human decency to associate with an individual for 30years and not have the compassion to approach them earlier in life to avert and change this life style.

My own grandfather did in fact, live a less than angelic lifestyle for most of his adult years, using alchol as his drug of choice to avoid and numb the demons that haunted him. Great change, one might say came as a catalyst in the form of a new grandson, which gave him the strength to amend his life for about 4 years before he died. The remaining time he had was an opportunity to make his life centered on his family and community in a way that held up good values and love.

Redemption is not ours to adjudicate, it's ours to offer through whatever intercessor our faith allows. Support, don't accuse. Understand, don't fear. Reconcile, don't abandon. Success is made by the mark of a man's character, not his accomplishments. Those happen when character meets potential energy, and love creates good things. The inventory of our souls will be wieight out in light, not in works.
yep, it can be done, it is up to you to go after it
