Job Employment at 5/3 rd bank?
Answer:
That's called "Fee Third" bank. :)
It is just a criminal background check. Also banks often will pull a credit history for potential employees to see if you have money trouble. They usually use ChoicePoint and it takes less than 24 hours to complete. It's not every in-depth.
They'll just want to see if you have a criminal record of any sort. They may also do a credit check to see if you are in dire financial straits, which may indicate someone who could be or become desperate enough to commit fraud and steal from their employer. A bank especially needs to be cautious of this.
usually it's your credit. since this is for a bank, they want to see any cases of fraud or misdemeanors relating to finances. sometimes they'll do rental history, medical (rarely) and criminal check.
they definetly check for a criminal record and alot more now a days companies do credit checks. I mean its a bank so they probably take it quite serious
A background check means they will look at police records for any outstanding warrants or any felonies. If you have a traffic ticket it will NOT affect your chance of employment.but if you have a history which includes robbery, theft, etc.you will not be hired. Good Luck
My cousin works for Fifth Third in the Grand Rapids area, and according to him the background check is primarily to see if you have a criminal record. They also check to verify that you lived where you say you have lived and you have worked where you say you have worked. Banks are big on integrity, so they want to make sure applicants don't give a list of jobs held or addresses that are a total tissue of lies.
