EVERYONE- GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND BE A PHARMACIST!
You WILL NOT regret doing so!
5-6 years of school, $90,000+ / year, and zero stress! No running around driving yourself crazy, no late hours, etc!
no probably im 27 worked as a sheetmetalworker(tinsmith) a qualified tree feller, carpenter and now i work in an office as an administrator.
If I could go back to leaving high school I would change allot of things. The reason being that I didn't make very good choices back then. I am now in collage and really do like it. I can't Waite to get out in the real world and make a difference.
I would not change my job although i do not mind learning afew more things
yes because I chose the money instead of a career , I got a job that paid four times what all my friends were making while training at work .
20 years later I'm not earning much more than I was then but my friends are all qualified at what they do and earn loads .
Yes I would cause I always wanted to do hairdressing but got sucked into office work cause it was better money and Ive never got out.
im a carpenter i know its not saving the world but i really like my job but what pisses me off is the people who make all the decisions havent got a fukin clue what there doing as theyve never actually worked on site and also have no common sence, also the building trade is fuked as you either work for a company and get all the crap work that know one wants or work for your self and have to bash the work out as quick as you can on price work to make decent money and the quality goes out the window ,so yes i wish i had gone into something different but what i dont know.
Yes, I would have gone back to study fashion, or something in the entertainment line of work, and not legal. we should all do what we enjoy and not do it because of money.
I am an accountant,I have been so for 20 years. I enjoy my job, however, if I were to go back to school, I think I would focus more in Finance.
I know this is not much of a change- but I think it would give me the skills to be more of an entrepreneur.
The key to any career is to have a good fit. the way to determine this is ask yourself what are your talents, or what would you do even if no one paid you?
This is a great question.
When you are at school one assumes that so much depends on your results and exams.
To some extent it will determine whether you are suited to a pressured and goal orientated environment. Or to whether you are suited to be a veterinarians assistant.
I say this as one person I met who was about 22 and had just got his first job as a temporary seasonal worker processing frozen peas (where I met him), left that place (where he was so pleased and grateful for work) to go on to get a permanent job as a veterinarians assistant. He was so enthusiastic about this new job, as it was clear that he had a great love for animals and was not very academically orientated.
I believe that a career is a journey which never ends. Some people go by train, where the route is fixed and known in advance. Some people take a car, and you get stuck in traffic jams and are restricted to roads. Some people go by bike, and they can go on or off road, up hills, across rivers, over trees, pretty much anywhere they like. Some people walk or run, and they have the most freedom of direction and need the least money.
To go back to school would not change the journey. The only thing that would change the journey would be if you made a different decision. Making a different decision would mean that I would have faced different obstacles and a different route would have occurred. I have no idea what the outcome would have been had I made different decisions, as there are too many other factors to consider.
I don't think that I took any decisions at school which I would not make again (with hindsight). The decisions were taken, with guidance, and with regards to my personal circumstance, and were wholly appropriate.
No absolutely not because then the whole course of my life would have changed and I would never have met my gorgeous husband and had our 3 perfect children. I might have had more money but I would not have had the happiness I have now :0) You can keep the money!
Yes, I studied law, which was fine, but I much prefer being a librarian - its a great laugh - the great British public are soooo entertaining. So I wish I had done it before. Good question. thanks for that. Luv Camilla
I quite like the path my career is taking but if I went back now, I'm pretty sure I'd be a pharmacist, it sounds great.
i wouldn't change my career, but i would change the languages i learnt in school. I'd like to start learning Italian and Russian beginning from zero level.
I left school and have been training as a photographer for six years. I love taking pictures and if i never get a job in it, I'll always have a great hobby. But i do regret getting a student loan.
no i made my decision then and throughout the years have retrained. Think i needed to "find" myself and the experiences i've had have helped me become a better person. I was all "me" as a school leaver
yes because I know lot more now.
