Ok my job will pay the equivalent of like one and half classes a semester for me to get my masters. I would have to foot the rest of the bill. I am already 35,000 in debt for my BA and don't want any more loans but will get them if I have to. Should i do the part time four year program and basically get my masters for free or little out of cost or should i do the intensive 11 month program take what ever my job will give me and add another like 9,000 on too my debt
Answer:
It depends on what you are going to get when you are done. Are you going to get a $10k per year raise? If you won't get bumped up much, take your time. It's not worth the stress and cost.
Do a cost analysis. Calculate your projected salary over the next 15 years without the masters, and include the $35,000 loan. Now do it again, this time assume you will land a job that will pay you more for having the masters, but now you are still paying the $35,000 plus your part of the MBA.
Depends how old you are and how soon you are ready to work. I say get it over with. $10 can be paid off pretty fast
