Three observations:
a) How satisfied your are with your work is not the standard in any job (unless your standards exceed those of your employer).
b) Didn't your boss explain why he was firing you? And I hope it wasn't your idea to send dad in to talk to the boss.
c) My assumption is that you havn't exactly been looking for a job -- July 14th was about 3 weeks ago.
Free Advice: Call him back. Everyone deserves to have their phone call returned. He may or may not be offering you a job. Regardless, learn what you can from him and leave on the best terms possible. Besides, who knows what your dad said.
Should you go back?
a) Only if you can get past the anger. (Anger that, based on your posting, does not seem warranted. Anything else to share about that?)
b) Only if you need a job; and
c) This is your best opportunity.

Call him. At least you want to be on good terms so you can use him as a reference for your next job. Meanwhile, consider studying harder or going to school so you can get a better job in the future.

i will tell you that if this is your worst problem, then you are a very lucky boy!!
It's not worth it. Just look for another job. There are plenty of restaurant jobs out there.
Call them back. You never know when you might need him as a reference for something in the future. Even if he doesn't hire you back, you need to stay on his good side, especially if you plan on continuing in the fast food business.
Its always best to just acknowlege and move on. Maybe you learned how not to get fired from your next job and this will be a good experience for you.
If you were really fired, then there isn't a job to go back to, right?

He should have let you know that he was not satisfied with your performance before he fired you. You could get a job at any restuarant,why go back? You should call him back and tell him thank you for the offer, but you do not want to go back. Go from there. Good luck
Go back to work making the burritos. It will show that you are mature. Keep doing your best work. Look for another job and then give proper notice. Getting fired is not something you want to have to explain when looking for a job. This will not be the last experience you will have with a crappy boss. Use it as a learning experience.
Always leave on good terms. Contact your boss, ask him exactly what happened, and if he is interested in hiring you back, give it some thought. If your dad talked to your boss on your behalf, I'm assuming you are quite young. If you are, and you are going to school, try finding a new job that is in the field you would like to work in when you are older. This way, you will have some experience under your belt by the time you go to college. Kudos for having a good work ethic!
give him the courtesy of a call back and see if your differences can be ironed out . If not ask him if you can use him as a reference and move on in life . That is sort of a dead end job if you ask me and you seem too bright for that anyhow . Congrats your spelling and expressiveness is far superior to most of the posts on here also . Good luck .
If you knew your Dad was going to talk with your boss about your job, then you should go back to the old job, otherwise you're making your Dad look like a putz. If you don't care about that, or if he doesn't care, then get a job you like doing. If you're doing your best, you don't have to take crap from anybody.
no matter what theres going to be someone at your job that you dont like. go back and if you get fired again then dont go back, but have a talk with him saying that that was inappropriate for him to say and that you would appreciate if he would talk to you about it first so at least you know.

Crawl back and beg for your job back only do it faster. You don't set the standard for performance-your Boss does! So get back in there and fire up your burrito process.
Then start asking your Boss all kinds of questions-at least 5 an hour and go so fast that the line gets screwed up and orders start to back up and then your Boss will quit or be fired!
Now you can apply for his job and become the boss! Death to the Boss! Long Live the New Boss!
Now that you are the Boss you can buy a new car on credit and get stuck in the job like the old Boss! And then some kid on the line will start slowing down the line because he is so slow.
Do you need a job? I'd call him and ask him if he was dissatisfied with your performance, why could'nt he tell you to your face? I'll bet he goes thru help like dirty underwear. Why could'nt he tell you how to improve instead of embarrassing both of you like he did. Tell him you'll go back for more money. If not, tell him you'll be better off finding another job.

i would not call him or go back, there are other jobs that are better than that, and i would not put his name down as a reference, he was a jerk to you the first time, he will do it again.
