How do I turn down this internship for another?

If you are offered the internship today; take it. One bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Then, do the interview tomorrow. You don't know what they have to offer; it may be twice as nice, with more opportunities; you just don't know. And there is nothing, nothing, nothing, that says you cannot change your mind, and call CNN to say you cannot start. You don't have to say why. In the world of business, you are an at will employee, and they are an at will employer; which means you can quit, or they can fire you, for whatever reason. Unless you are under contract for the internship, listen to both. Tell the first one you have an interview tomorrow, or tell them you need 24 hours to think about it. Don't ever, ever short your options. Hope this helps.
Go for the interview. Both of them are interviews. They probably will not immediately offer you a job.
So, better to go to both of them than count your chickens before they hatch.

lot of times, they wont hire you right after the interview.
They are going to review it, and may have a second interview or just call you that your hired.

hopefully you get the intership from cnn, and if later time calls you and tell you that you got the job, just politely tell him that you were already offered a job. (maybe they will pay you more haha)

Keep both appointments until you know for sure whether or not you got the CNN internship. Try your best in both interviews. If both offer you the position, politely say, "Thank you, but I've taken another opportunity" to the job you're going to turn down.
If they offer you the job at CNN today, call Time after you're sure you've got the job, and cancel your interview for tomorrow. Maybe that will free up some time for someone else who would like to interview for the job.
