SERIOUS answers only please!?

Where is the best/easiest ( I'm not sure what word I'm looking for?) place for a felon to get a job. My husband is having a hard time finding employment because of his felony charges but he needs one to support our FOUR kids! What to do?

Answer:
Many states give a resource list that includes jobs to felons upon release when they first meet their PO. If he has one, he should go to him/ her and see if she has one. Felons are more likely to find work in hard to fill positions like jobs that involve waste management, things most people don't want to do. It is gonna be hard, and he will have to take a job he doesn't want but that is his only option at this point.
Check with your local job placement. They maybe able to help locate employers that are willing to hire people with records.
Start small and work your way up. Like a janitor up to a burger flipper. He's not going to get much work with a bad name, and I think you're pretty nuts to go and have 4 kids with this guy.
try your state's employment office, other wise he can try not putting it on the application and explaining it if he gets an interview. He will have to disclose it because if they run a backround check and find out he lied he can be fired for cause.
That is tough question? What was his conviction for? If it is any type of theft/financial/fraud retail is not the answer. I would have him try construction. good luck.
Call an employment agency and get them to reccomend him to employers if he is decent
Check with your state employment commision. They usually help ex felons find work. Have him be honest about his past when filling out the paperwork.
Good luck.
I know that, depending on the felony, wal-mart will hire. It's not a wonderful place to work but it's a pay check. also, like the first answer said, check with the local job placement agency. if he explains the situation they may be able to help and place him.
Basically if dont have a college degree tell him to enroll through finacial aid he he gets passed that he needs to pick a cheap college that way he gets a large lump sum of money back from $2000 to $5000 back a semester. and pick up a part time or full time job at a telemarketing place easy work good pay, flexable time. the key to survival now a days is educational, make him get at least a ged before starting this quest. But seriously the more education the more money you get and four kids you need.
If he has a PO, he can ask him/her to help vouch(or use as a reference) for him to get a job. If theyre not an * and your husband is in good standing with them, MOST would be willing to help.

He can also ask him/her if they can help him out in finding one too. Most POs know people that hire ex felons.
Ok first of all, unless it is specified on the recruitment website that ex convicts can't apply, he has the right to apply for them. Similarly, he does not need to mention anything about the felony charges unless he is asked to fill up an application form that asks of previous offences.

Secondly, I think he might need the extra help in having a better resume. I am willing to offer him free help to touch up his resume if he needs them. Check out my website for my contact details if you need them. I understand your stress and thus offering my help.

I have a couple of options of how I can deliver the information one is on the phone and the other would be thru skype and a slide presentation. I am not able to send a simple email because it is important to hear all the information in it entirety. You can request information on the first page of my web site.

If you are interested in setting up a time to talk please just email me. You can stop by my blog and it may give you a bit of info about me as a person rather than a computer on the other end .http://fhhc.blogspot.com
