How do you know if it's your dream job?
Anyway, how do you know if you've found the right career? If you can't make a living with your passion, is it easy to incorporate into your life somehow?
Answer:
Law of Attraction...that's the focus you need right here. you can buy the dvd or watch it online at www.thesecret.tv.. it tells you how to follow your heart in what you're attracted to or wish for. What is it exactly that you really would like to do as a career? Focus on that. What is it you're really attracted to? IF animals really are your passion, then do some research on working with animals and types of fields you can get into, there are more fields working with animals than a vet or something that would be upsetting. If you would rather create art than to just know about art (I have a BA in Commercial Arts/ Graphic Designs myself)..what about a commercial artist? Graphic Designer? What about what you do have a degree in? Did you get tired of that? (as i did with my art degree).
You will know within your heart and mind and literally your soul when you find that perfect career for you. Because you'll literally jump at the opportunity and realize."That's where I can FIND my potential!" So, think about what you're attracted to, what you really wish for, your passion and desires..then go from there. Do research on companies and check with the BBB (better business bureau). There's a lot of opportunities out there screaming at you.. just see what jumps out at you! Also explore other avenues you might not have thought of..like a home based business or some Internet business doing work on line at home. That's what I did and I absolutely love it!
Good luck!

Hi,
You'll be able to know your dream job once you finished answering this assessment:

The best advice that I have for you is to think of doing something that you wouldn't mind doing for the rest of your life.i.e, if you dont think that selling houses is something that would make you happy, and you wouldn't mind doing it for the rest of your life then dont get your Real Estate license. Just make sure you'll have a comfortable salary, and you'll enjoy doing whatever it is that you do!
sure, you could be a vet. and have a side business painting peoples animals for money. Or you could have that as a main business if you can make enough. or just get a career with animals and do art in your spare time. try different things. get a job at a zoo. that way you will know if you love it. There are some things that people do as hobbies that they would not want to do for a job. This is because their hobbies are done in their personal relaxation time. when it is put into a stressful job, some people get burnt out. good luck.
I'm trying to figure stuff out now, too. I have a BA in psychology and am currently working in the field of social service. I doesn't pay well at all and you really can't work your way up ( or earn much more money) unless you have a Masters. But, after finishing college 3 years ago I'm not sure if I want to go back. I enjoyed learning and school but now that I'm working I'm not sure that I want to put in all that time and money for something I know won't pay much more.
I have been doing some volunteer work and I'm also going to try babysitting ( as a way of exploring the idea of going back to school to get more education maybe in child devolpment. I might want to become a director of a day care center. Just one option that I'm exploring).
Try some volunteering to see if that is something you could see yourself doing. Or as someone else was suggesting maybe it could be a hobby instead of something you make a career out of.
Thanks for sharing your frustrations because I'm experiencing some of the same things right now!
