I am an Aussie living in Florida and they are crying out for service people here. Try Panama City.they are always advertising job vacancies. The weather is great.wages are pretty good and if you can stand everyone saying, ' you aint from around here are ya?' then the people are very friendly. Florida is a mecca for tourists all year round so jobs are plentyful.
i live in chicago, the weather here is crazy. summer tends to run from june to september (if were lucky) winter always seems so long. we get a small taste for spring, fall always seems so short since its pretty cold it already seems to jump into winter. overall, it mostly seems as if we have summer and winter, that all. im not sure what the pay rate might be for that position, but im sure you can find out in a web site CITYOFCHICAGO.ORG give it a try, you wont lose much. as for the foreigners thing, i think in the working industry its a good thing especially if you are multi-lingual. although we will always find those ingnorant people any where, who will try to make it hard for you. you can just go ahead and ignore those.i wish you the best in your choice of city and hope this was helpfull for you
