Reason for leaving?

My real reason is due to a work related wrist injury, I couldn't do the heavy lifting that I was required to do any longer. I don't want that to keep me from getting a job so I am not real sure what to put on a job application. Can you offer any suggestions please?
I also have been off work for 3 1/2 years, I decided to take some time to regroup (pretty stressed about losing my previous job) and possibly start a family (didn't happen). I was morbidly obese when I lost my job and have lost most of my excess weight, I am fit and strong now except for my bad wrist, so I think I can explain my gap in employment OK but I am concerned about my reason for leaving.

Answer:
The best advise is to be honest on a application.. that will get you far. I know we run a Ladies Workout Express and its amazing how many people will lie.. but the truth always comes out.

This job was just not right for you.. or..
You were looking for better things.
If you were injured on the job you should of been able to draw workers compensation and if the injury was permenent, you should of been awarded so something doesn't pan out on your lapse if you recovered from the injury or still have the injury.
Tell them the truth. I would respect you for that. You busted your butt loosing all that weight and now you seek work. Good for you. To me that shows determinations and I would want to hire a person like you. Good luck!
honesty is the key. they will most likely call that employer since there has been a big gap to check your references and they can beat around the bush to find out why you left as its one of those questions they usually cant come right out and ask. just say that you were suffering from severe depression and carpal tunnel if they cant respect that then screw em!
Be honest about your reason for leaving a job. There are plenty of jobs that you would be well suited for. I have managed quite often and I hire people that I believe have strong work ethics and I believe are honest. Congratulations for your change in lifestyle and health. Good luck.
find a place that closed and use them for a reference. Its done so many times. Just say you worked at this place and due to economics they closed.
I think you should be upfront and mention reason for leaving as 'wrist injury'. Now that you are completely fit you can apply for a fresh job subject to availability of a suitable job. I have been working for 20+ years and am unable to relocate myself due to unavailability of a suitable job.
