Please help me, I have two on-campus interviews tomorrow for office jobs at my new college. I'm very nervous!

I need to get one of those jobs, any advice?

Answer:
The word “interview” itself makes a person tense and nervous who needs to appear in the interview. It is normal human behaviour to become confused or get tensed but such things can be overcome with practice, learning from seniors and elders, thru own experience. At my time internet was not available. These days Internet is a rich source of information. U can learn many things about the interview by visiting the websites the links of which are given below. On some websites u will find questions also along with answers which are frequently asked and questions pertaining to ur requirement can also be found there provided u surf on them thoroughly and consciously. It will improve ur performance remarkably. It will infuse a high level of confidence in u. It will make u more frank and it will develop diplomatic qualities in u too. Overall, I would say that it will give an impetus to ur personality development. Ur specific requirement can also be met on these sites provided these are surfed well.

yea just b layed back.on campus jobs are awesome cause their lax cause they know ur a student.trust me its not gonna be a big deal!
take a warm bath, drink some milk, think about being on a peaceful beach, and go to bed.
Just relax, give honest but SHORT answers, keep it academic/professional -- don't get into personal stuff unless the interviewer asks, and even then, steer it back to your academic/professional acheivements. (Interviewers love to try and make applicants babble with open-ended and/or personal questions, just to see what falls out.)

And don't be afraid of not getting the job. If you're all hung up on it, then you'll be so nervous that you'll have a greater chance of messing up.

Believe me, there's no shortage of jobs for newly graduated college students -- you'll find something soon, whether it's one of these jobs of something else.

Good luck!

an employer wants to know that you are serious about your job, and that you are reliable.
don't be too laid back.
be professional.
wear a watch it shows that you are punctual.
dress neatly wear closed toed shoes. don't show cleavage.
they will sum you up in the first 5 minutes, so appearance is important.
dont wear too much makeup, you hair should be neat. no perfume, just some antiperspirant.
if you dont know the answer to a question dont bs too much but you should feel confident enough to give a somewhat intelligent.
they know more than you so dont be a know it all.
let them know that you learn quickly and you are thourough, you take direction well and you work well with others, etc.
Just relax and be confident about yourself. Here are my tips that may help you on the whole interview session:

- Create neither a resume that is not too impressive nor a crap. I suggest you have to put only the things that may interest your interviewer. Also, put your resume on a brown envelop;

- Dress appropriately. Sometimes people judge you by the way you look and dress;

- Be sure you are there before the actual time. It is better to be there in advance.

- In the interview session, always smile (even though how snobbish your interviewer may seem); and

- Don't think of anything to impress your interviewer. Just be normal and enjoy the whole conversation.

Good Luck
