I am a finance/management major and I want a job in california. Where can I look to find one?

Also, I am graduating in May, so when would be a good time to start applying

Answer:
Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired.

California is a pretty big state? Do your research, you've got some time! Good luck
God only knows why you would want to move to this screwed up state but here goes. several ways you can do this 1. the state link which also has many links to other jobs sites. 2. go to the news-link page and click on the newspaper for the area(s) you plan on living in.3. try other links as I have sent you.
Housing is high and so is fuel.
It would be wise to start now. Some questions you should ask yourself:

1. Where in CA do you want to live?
2. Do you want to work in pure finance?
3. Do you want to work in management?
4. Do you want to work for a big firm, a small firm, or the gov?

After you think thru these things- I would use www.indeed.com or www.simplyhired.com which searches all of the major engines for you.
