A good job for a single mom?

What would be a good job for a single mom with a bachelor of arts degree? Reasonable hours, money enough to support her and a child?

Answer:
% Teacher, You will also be working the same hours that your child will be in school.
paralegal or bookkeeping
Egg donation. Pays $5000 to $8000 a pop. The process takes about a month. You can do it as many times as you want. It is all tax free income. Gives you the ability to stay at home with your kids.
depends on what your degree is in, but have you considered tutoring? you could do it during hours to suit you - whether it be at your house or at the pupil's. it pays well - about £20 an hour. plus theres the job satisfaction that goes with it.
Have you considered Network Marketing? It is a great way to earn money working from your own home as your own boss. Ever heard of Robert Kiyosaki Rich Dad Poor Dad? He has another book called "The Business School" and he talks a lot about network marketing strategies and getting on the right side of the cash flow quadrant. That's what I did when I started my own business at http://www.mywayoutonline.com/ access code 108306 that is a new division of a billion-dollar international company that is listed on the New York Stock exchange. If you have a big enough dream, you can achieve anything :)
Good luck on your endeavor!
train to be a teacher, reasonable pay, school holidays off
a teller at a bank, teacher (art) if thats the right arts lol
First a question - a degree is ok - but what are your strengths and interests?
An art student - might like to open an arts/crafts class at home for kids - could also open a creche - spl with the number of young working couples

A history student - might as well apply on the History channel or like to help young students do their history homework as well as prepare for their tests.

If you are good at computers - you might like to take a course in graphics/computer languages - join some online advertiser as a graphics person - spl since you can work from home

You can do a lot - it all depends on what you are interested in doing.

I am a mom of three and work from home. I sell stuff online and do direct sales. Works for me!
Hey Elena,

I am in the middle of "whiny child tugging at my feet". Bear with me.
Do you make stuff yourself or are you interested in direct sales? I do both. I have a website on freewebs.com but my direct sales and craft shows is what makes the money.

Len, like you I consider myself to be a mom first.and it was imperative that I find a job that I like that would afford me a decent income and flexibilility to work from home on those days when I was home with a sick child, or chaperoning a field trip, etc. I found that non-profits did the trick for me and I discovered in the process that I have quite an affinity for development and fundraising. Even better, depending on the job, you might find that your child doesn't mind accompanying you to the office on those days when you simply have no choice but to go in.

Kids, animals, housing, elderly, nursing, ATVs, motorcycles, private schools.there are non-profits for every imaginable interest. Go forth and find one that interests you!

Best of luck to you.
Would love to share what I do from home. I am giving you my web site http://fhhc.stayinhomeandlovinit.com. , how ever it is a bit vague. I have a couple of options of how I can deliver the information one is on the phone and the other would be thru skype and a slide presentation. I am not able to send a simple email because it is important to hear all the information in it entirety. You can request information on the first page of my web site.

If you are interested in setting up a time to talk please just email me. You can stop by my blog and it may give you a bit of info about me as a person rather than a computer on the other end .http://fhhc.blogspot.com
